It has been almost 2 months now since Lowe started his solids. So far, he has been eating well. No allergies whatsoever, not that I am expecting any since his father and I don’t really have any specific allergies, so hopefully and crossing fingers, Lowe will not develop any. Recently though, I’ve noticed that he started to have his favorites, meaning, specific food that he leans towards to. As of the moment, he absolutely loves bananas. Just seeing my husband starts to peel one makes him ga-ga in excitement. I am in awe and so thankful that he did not inherit my picky taste buds.
So, for today, I will be writing about an item that has been (and still is!) a great help in aiding me with this journey of feeding Lowe, Philips Avent 2-in-1 Healthy Baby Food Maker. You can buy this from their website or you can buy it from Shopee or Lazada where they are much, muuuuuuch cheaper.
The food processor is really nifty and very practical to use, from the picture on the right, you can see that I’m currently steaming a mixture of broccoli and carrots, and then when it’s over, you just flip the jar and put it back on the base and select the slicer option which is the furthest right selection from the knob to make it puréed. To see it in action, a sample video is found here. What I like about this item is that, it saves me the time and effort to get my steamer, watch over it and then afterwards, mash it manually. Oh, and not only veggies, you can throw in some meat too! Trust me, I don’t like cooking at all, so for me, this is heaven sent.
There are a lot of variations and brands that sell food processors for babies like the Baby Bullet, Babybee, etc. you might not get the exact one like mine but consider buying one, since even I use it to steam veggies for the side dishes! It’s not only for the baby, it also for us.
